The Ropes Course is an adventure activity consisting of a series of wood, steel cables, and ropes for players aged five and upwards. Participants utilize bridges, zip lines, platforms, ladders, and other elements to navigate their way through the course, testing their balance, coordination, and courage. The indoor rope course brings the traditional rope course suspended from trees, adding more safety to the play and facilitating maintenance.
Low Ropes Course: Elements are usually 1-4 feet off the ground, focusing on teamwork, communication, and problem-solving rather than height. Safety often relies on group spotting instead of harnesses. Examples: Trust falls, spider webs, wall traverses, whale watches, balance logs. These courses are often used for team-building exercises and are a great way to build trust and communication skills among groups.
High Ropes Course: Elements are typically 15-50+ feet high. Participants are secured by a harness and safety lanyards clipped to an overhead safety cable (continuous belay system). Examples: Zip lines, rope bridges, cargo nets, balance beams, Tarzan swings, giant ladders. These courses require more physical strength and endurance, and are a great way to push yourself out of your comfort zone and build confidence.
